Making a mold for your custom order: |
|
1.) Place a sheet of "Saran Wrap", polyethylene sheeting or similar material approximately 12" x 18" on the customer's head. |
2.) Twist the ends (tight), so the plastic forms to the contour of your customers head. |
3.) Ask the customer to hold the twisted ends while you cover the entire area to be marked with strips of cellophane tape (scotch tape). Attach the tape from front to back, then cross-ways, from side to side. Lap the strips to create a firm shell. |
4.) Start marking the mold in front, (approx. 3 fingers above the brow will establish the normal hairline) using a china marker or grease pencil. Outline the bald area right at the hairline. Indicate the part, if any. Using arrows, show hair direction (combed forward or combed back, etc.) Hair direction, particularly in the front is important to have the hairpiece conform to the customers styling desires. Mark LEFT, RIGHT, FRONT, BACK, and TOP on the template. |
Remove the mold from the customers head and trim excess material. The resulting template will be exactly duplicated in the custom hairpiece base. Please full name on the mold with phone # or address ID. |
Color Selection: Hair sample for front and top of hair system should be taken from above the ear. Temple area should be taken. Hair sample for the back is approx. 2" above the nape of the neck. |
